THE INVERNESS FIELD CLUB BURSARY
The Bursary for the year 2009 is available to people living in Scotland.
It is awarded for original research into any subject appertaining to the
Highlands and Islands of Scotland that the Inverness Field Club Council
considers to lie within the traditional interests of the Club. The Bursary
is worth £1,000 normally payable in two instalments.
Applicants will be required to submit a written case for consideration,
a career history and the names of two referees - one of whom should have a
good knowledge of the applicant's ability and competence to undertake the
research. The applicants should be prepared to offer themselves for
interview if required to do so. The Committee expects each project to be
completed within two years and the recipient of the Award to give a
lecture to members of the Club within this time limit together with fully
sourced notes.
